Take em' to School: Car Pool #4

Growing up in Amherst was like living in a Poets Den
Currently exploring the story again of Emily Dickinson
Wanting to read her poetry next ....

Writing and research go together naturally.
When combined a force so powerful it seems magical.

My birthday was Monday!!!

It was Biggie I played!
Sipped my own champagne
with the girls we parlayed
At the crib
A content woman I am not a kid

"It was all a dream
I used to read Word Up magazine
Salt'n'Pepa and Heavy D up in the limousine
Hangin' pictures on my wall
Every Saturday Rap Attack, Mr. Magic, Marley Marl
I let my tape rock 'til my tape popped
Smokin' weed and bamboo, sippin' on private stock
Way back, when I had the red and black lumberjack
With the hat to match
Remember Rappin' Duke, duh-ha, duh-ha
You never thought that hip hop would take it this far
Now I'm in the limelight 'cause I rhyme tight
Time to get paid, blow up like the World Trade
Born sinner, the opposite of a winner
Remember when I used to eat sardines for dinner
Peace to Ron G, Brucey B, Kid Capri
Funkmaster Flex, Lovebug Starsky
I'm blowin' up like you thought I would
Call the crib, same number same hood
It's all good"

Couldn't chop shop that verse
weekend trips to Boston at 16
back yard car parts really too much for my eyes to have seen

wikipedia.org said it best
Amherst consistently ranks as one of the most progressively liberal regions of the United States
Due in large part to five colleges within the area.
Happy Valley due to the art and music communities, progressive ideas

Best Autumn seasons I have ever had!
Bike rides with mom in Hadley!
Gotta get back to that
bike rides fresh air
Green grass
All that...

Love watching this women as my prime example
A realist MOM getting her PhD
Growing up in Massachusetts
Single parent raising a sweet,rebel
Oh Yeah that's me

When I first moved in 8th grade
saw a women walking with nothing but pasties
As I looked around the only person phased
was me.
I adapted and lived amongst them care free

That was the same year I was introduced to
Bob Marley
Got the CD and fell in love instantly!

"Rise up this mornin',
Smiled with the risin' sun,
Three little birds
Perch by my doorstep
Singin' sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true,
Sayin', "This is my message to you-ou-ou:"

A new year
Progress has been slow
God gave me this time to grasp it and grow

As the station played throw backs of classics
new songs there will be to sing
To be continued
What type of news will this year bring?

Aaliyah Dust it off
Always been an angel
Even when she was here on earth
Such a angelic voice

Another weekend in the city
Chilling with the boys from our church
They shouted Come here quickly!
Look at this girl new video
She FiNe & She PRETTY
I thought to myself
and she is our age too?
I was growing up along with you
It aches to this day
That's how much we miss you

"No Scale Can Measure
Secret Treasures
Keeps On Getting Better"...

I sang out loud quietly

Time waits for no one so use it wisely!

Brought in the New Year with a Praise Party at church!

I supported the teen pledge they wore Blue Vip wristbands Jumping for Jesus instead

This year I'm coming for something
I'm doing it even if it hurts

Watched a new show The Mindy Project it is HILARIOUS!!

Smile more as if you were first in line during intermission

Through the blood, sweat, and tears
Looking like you made it through
You didn't do it alone God was right there beside you!

He promised me something that has already come to in a vision
The bible I gave my neighbor she found a tiny sticker that read car pool in it

I can count on it too like my faith and intuition

I'm a woman now and a mom
The MIRROR IMAGE I reflect
Life is good, some pop Collars
I mean Micheal Jackson good

Your a true scholar
Even now as you rest

"As I, Turn Up The Collar On My
Favourite Winter Coat
This Wind Is Blowin' My Mind"...

"Gonna Make A Difference
Gonna Make It Right . . ."

Today is a new, A brand new start!
Use your life as a Canvas
Paint it how you choose

Creative time in the Arts
Learn something new
Give more in the community
Play your part
Count on your blessing
Know your worth
Smile more even when it hurts!

Reflect laugh and know you still stand
Take that new canvas and use lots of paint
It is OK to get messy in the process
Be responsible and just clean your mess.
It will be your own actions to count when you lay to rest.

Ok to reflect on the yester years
Smile and look forward to the new days
Lift your glass in advance
Claim the promise and commence to dance :)
