Appearing on NBC’s Talk Stoop for his 40th birthday, Nas sits down with host Cat Greenleaf to reflect on life, the course of his career, and more. Nas gives his take on the evolution of hip hop since his career began and the state of the genre today.


The emcee talks music, explaining the meaning behind his controversial album, Hip Hop Is Dead (2006), and what's missing in hip hop music today. Nas also shares what motivates him and makes him smile these days, his daily mantras; "Life Is Good" and "Never Stop. Never Settle."
