Nas makes a guest appearance on MSNBC's NOW with Alex Wagner discussing "Time is Illmatic," a new documentary that premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival based upon the creation of his debut album "Illmatic."

The lyricist discussed the 20th anniversary of the timeless album that would vividly tell the story of a young teenager from New York's inner city. Making his second appearance on the show, Nas discusses Hip Hop culture and it's development over time into American culture, elaborating on what inspired his debut release. The two continue the conversation discussing hip hop in the nineties, the bridging of styles between the west and east coast, and the social and racial issues that still plague our country twenty years after later.

I love that you stated your importance blatantly. Everyone should know your worth, bro. "Proud of you" is an understatement, as a lot of the brothers out here look up to you. Bless.
